Senior Project Manager (for Refining or Logistics related projects)

Your Main task would be managing and completing various projects within scope, budget and schedule, which includes-
- Full end to end leadership of large industrial CAPEX projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring delivery within approved scope, schedule, and budget.
- Establishing and governing the project execution strategy, including contracting strategy, risk governance, and change control.
- Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, HSE, finance, and external partners.
- Managing high level stakeholder relationships with Project Owners, contractors, technology licensors, and operational units.
- Overseeing project controls (cost, schedule, risk, reporting) and ensuring alignment with corporate governance and audit requirements.
- Ensuring effective interface management across engineering, construction, operations, and external stakeholders.
- Providing high quality decision making materials to senior leadership and steering committees.
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory, safety, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- BSc/MSc in engineering (mechanical, chemical, electrical, or related technical field).
- 10–15+ years of experience managing industrial CAPEX projects, including significant exposure to >50 MUSD projects in refining, petrochemical, logistics, or energy environments.
- Proven track record in leading complex, multi year investments with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong knowledge of project governance, contracting models, cost control, risk management, and change management.
- High resilience and ability to lead multiple complex workstreams in parallel.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem solving skills with a proactive, solution oriented mindset.
- Practical experience in project delivery during turnaround / shutdown periods
- Strong understanding of stage-gate governance and structured project decision-making
- Experience in tendering, contract strategy, contractor management and claims handling
- Advanced proficiency in English and Hungarian.
- Strong MS Office and MS Project skills; experience with enterprise project management systems is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel to logistics sites across the country (if required); valid driver’s license required.
