The Opportunity
Warehouse Operations Supervisor – Arndell Park, NSW
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operations Supervisor to join our Resources and Industrials function based in Arndell Park, NSW. The purpose of this role is to assist the Warehouse Manager with the allocation and to ensure completion of daily tasks, to assist with problem solving and ensuring team members are performing tasks as directed. The Warehouse Supervisor performs a full range of warehouse functions including but not limited to, order picking, product receipt, documentation control with the ability to work efficiently without direct supervision, and a focus on customer service, quality, compliance, productivity and teamwork.
As the warehouse supervisor, you will:
- Assist with the supervision of Warehouse Operational Staff, and liaise with both the Transport and Administrations teams as required to assist with the completion of daily tasks.
- Ensure correct, secure and safe loading of vehicles.
- Check Forklift / Reach truck / MHE before start up as per checklist.
- Complete loading and unloading of vehicles / freight containers, pick and pack of orders, stock takes, repacking, repalletising, labelling and decant tasks as required.
- Communicate any issues that may affect Toll or the customer to the immediate supervisor as soon as possible.
- All required paper work including Load Lists, Work Orders, Goods Receipt
- Advice, Pallet Control and associated documentation is completed and returned in full, as advised.
- Understanding of Warehouse and Distribution Operations.
- Knowledge of vehicle loading capacities.
- Understanding the concept of providing a service to a client and their customers in a Third Party Contracted warehousing environment.
- Understanding of consigning, storing and handling of dangerous goods.
- Numeracy and literacy skills.
- Service oriented in terms of dealing with clients and customers.
