Key Responsibilities:
Using appropriate materials, handling equipment, working in accordance with all safety and quality requirements, with particular attention to safety in the factory and warehouse.
- Confirming materials from the Warehouse and ensuring the correct kit picked before team fill production line.
- Checking parts and quantities match the desired production output for each of the Production Orders
- Ensuring that production line maintains appropriate stock levels to prevent over and under inventory.
- Accurately recording movement and location of materials on the stock system.
- Undertaking any required checks on materials handling equipment, identifying and reporting any maintenance/repair requirements.
- Completing all required records, including traceability records.
- Ensuring the team achieves the highest standards of housekeeping (3's/5's).
- Following waste management procedures.
- Contributing to identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement (safety, quality, output, cost/efficiency...);
- Carry out other tasks that support the Warehouse, assembly and packing operation.
- Managing a small team of Decant operators to ensure they are achieving the desired quality and output to meet the production demand.
- Reporting operation anomalies to WH team leader and identifying resource gaps (Absence reporting, holiday gaps).
- Use portable scanner terminals for maintaining accurate stock records.
- Interpreting production output data to move stock in accordance with production and Despatch requirements.
- Ability to engage and lead a team to achieve the highest possible output standards
- Previous experience in a similar materials role
- Previous leadership experience
- General secondary or vocational qualifications (e.g. GCSEs, BTEC Certificate...) including Math's & English
