Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
- Load and unload freight from trucks, containers, and other transportation vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment, while following all safety guidelines.
- Receive, sort, stage, stack, and organize freight within designated warehouse locations to ensure efficient storage and retrieval.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage, verify quantities, and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Assist with inventory control activities, including cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation of inventory discrepancies.
- Prepare freight for shipment by packaging, labeling, and staging products according to company and customer requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards and warehouse best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support workflow efficiency and achieve departmental goals.
- Perform additional warehouse and freight-handling duties as assigned.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift product using material handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Commitment to following safety policies and procedures.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Previous warehouse or freight handling experience preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment preferred.
- Working knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform physical work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
