Shipping Clerk - Logistics

As Shipping Clerk, you will provide administrative support to the operations of logistical planning, and assist in the maintenance of information systems, reports and action plans via computer. This position is located in South Brunswick, USA and is fully onsite day shift.
Where You’ll Make a Difference
- You will contribute to logistics planning, through the preparation of documents, reports, and other activities involving aspects of storage, handling, distribution, and transportation.
- You will centralize the information, consolidate budgets, and monitor costs and investments.
- You will create reports of costs of operation, maintenance, and others in the area.
- You will spend your time setting up shipments in SAP for both customers and affiliates, creating delivery notes for sales orders and stock transfer orders, and sending repack requests to the manufacturing department.
- Excellent communication skills and have experience in a logistical environment.
- The day-to-day activities are consistent, which helps build expertise and confidence in the role.
- You will manage the pre-ship/co-ship sampling process in shipping to ensure timely shipments
- You will support customer service requests for changes, emergencies and information transfer
- You will generating dangerous goods declarations when required
- Submitting relevant documents needed for the export clearance in the USA and Canada and import clearance at the final destination of the cargo
- Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of analysis, certificate of origin if needed, IATA DG/IMDG IMO. Depending on the country, other documents may be required for import clearance based on the laws of the said country. Supporting requests for tolling orders and R&D resupply
- Monitoring the email inbox for the department and pass on information to the appropriate parties
- You will communication with forwarders/carriers regarding the collection of cargo

- Able to work in a demanding environment and be able to solve problems as they arise.
- Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- 1-2 years of experience in logistics environment and dealing with customer related situations
