ICP Is looking to hire a Shipping Clerk for our Andover, MA manufacturing plant. The shipping clerk is responsible for the entire shipping process at ICP Industrial. This includes scheduling LTL & TL pickups, customer appointments, dispatch paperwork, package preparation & carrier labels, real time communication with production, scheduling, and customer service.
This position requires good computer skills, strong problem solving and a high-level of organization. This team coordinates the loading and unloading of trucks all over the USA of our products. It is a great opportunity to fine tune your skills in logistics.
Shift hours Monday to Friday (Some Saturdays) 8am to 4:30pm. Hourly pay $20.00 to $22.00, depending on exp.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort outbound freight.
- Palletize and shrink wrap freight.
- Adhere address labels to freight.
- Attach SDS to freight.
- Verify Bill of Lading and Packing slip has correct product information.
- Schedule carriers to pick up.
- Confirm appointments at destinations.
- Notify supervisor of any product/label discrepancies.
- Communicate, coordinate and work with appropriate department heads.
- Ability to communicate with others on a timely basis.
- Received material in Syspro.
- Services and non-stock materials receiving in Syspro (MROs)
- dispatching, shipping of small UPS packages, and computer work
- High school diploma or GED with some office experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Forklift experience preferred
- Experience with WMS (warehouse management system).
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion with minimum instructions, adhere to prescribed routines and practices, maintain records, and to make reports requiring accuracy.
- Ability to work well with others, and to assist cooperatively and courteously.
- Skill in the application of modern office techniques and practices and the use and care of office machines and equipment.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Ability to read and understand company policies, standard operating procedures and training materials.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable and change priorities and direction as needed.
- Must have a positive attitude towards work and have the ability to work as a member of a team.
- Compensation: 18.00 - $20.00/hr. Actual pay is dependent on candidates overall skills for the role.
