Required Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in Contract Logistics solution design, warehouse engineering, and supply chain optimization across both B2B and B2C fulfillment environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience designing solutions across key Contract Logistics verticals including Retail, Lifestyle, Technology, FMCG, Automotive, and E-commerce. Experience in Industrial, Agriculture, Healthcare, or Cold Chain solutions is advantageous.
- Strong expertise in layout design, operational costing, pricing, and financial business case development.
- Advanced proficiency in warehouse design and modelling tools such as AutoCAD, CLASS, and other warehouse simulation software.
- Deep understanding of warehouse operations, productivity engineering, material flow optimization, and operational process design.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing warehouse automation and smart logistics solutions, including:
- Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Conveyor and sortation systems
- Goods-to-Person (GTP) solutions
- Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS)
- Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV)
- Inventory Drones and Autonomous Inspection Technologies
- Pick-to-Light, Put-to-Light, RFID, and other digital enablement technologies
- Ability to evaluate automation opportunities, develop automation business cases, quantify operational and financial benefits, and integrate automation into customer solutions.
- Experience supporting automation projects from concept design through implementation, commissioning, and operational stabilization.
- Understanding of emerging logistics technologies, digitalization, robotics, AI-driven warehouse operations, and data-driven performance optimization.
- Lead warehouse solution design for complex customer pursuits requiring advanced engineering expertise.
- Capture customer requirements, operational assumptions, and business drivers for solution development.
- Design end-to-end warehouse operating models, process flows, and facility layouts.
- Calculate warehouse sizing based on customer throughput, inventory, and operational requirements.
- Develop resource models, productivity assumptions, and activity-based costing models.
- Create warehouse simulations and throughput models using tools such as CLASS and AutoCAD.
- Guide and support IMEA Solution Design teams in identifying, evaluating, and incorporating automation opportunities into customer solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to develop innovative solutions using limited or ambiguous customer data.
- Experience working directly with customers during RFIs, RFQs, solution workshops, and commercial pursuits.
- Experience in warehouse operations, implementation projects, continuous improvement, lean methodologies, or logistics consulting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with experience presenting solutions to customers, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Regional or multi-country Contract Logistics solution design experience.
- Experience leading large-scale logistics transformation, automation, or network optimization projects.
- Familiarity with digital twin modelling, robotics, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Proven track record of delivering innovative, technology-enabled logistics solutions that improve productivity, service quality, scalability, and customer value.
