Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following
Leadership & People Management
- Manage Packaging, Inventory, and Warehouse employees, including planning, assigning, and directing daily work.
- Coordinate daily production and packaging plans, staffing rotations, and schedules to meet quotas and business needs.
- Train, coach, and develop Supervisors, Leads, and team members; ensure training schedules and SOP updates are consistently followed.
- Provide regular performance feedback, conduct employee reviews, and make recommendations regarding performance, development, and personnel actions.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and offboarding processes in alignment with company policies.
- Oversee daily packaging operations to ensure workflow efficiency, quota attainment, and adherence to quality, safety, and compliance standards.
- Create and maintain packaging plans in partnership with the Plant Manager; adjust plans as needed to support production goals.
- Ensure packaging teams understand and execute SOPs and maintain clean, sanitary, and safe work environments.
- Evaluate operational performance and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality. Inventory Fulfillment, Control & Compliance
- Manage inventory control in accordance with company standards and state regulations, including accurate entry into METRC and other state-specific tracking systems.
- Ensure accurate documentation of inventory from production through finished, sellable units, including all required transfers and conversions.
- Oversee daily physical inventory audits, cycle counts, and month-end inventory reviews for raw materials and finished goods.
- Maintain organized, clearly labeled, and compliant inventory vaults and storage areas.
- Oversee order fulfillment, ensuring all packing checkpoints, QA/QC standards, and documentation requirements are met.
- Ensure Supervisors and Leads have the resources needed to accurately pack, stage, and load orders for outbound transfers.
- Facilitate intake and outtake of product with sales representatives, including completion of manifests and transfer of documentation.
- Ensure outbound shipments are packed, labeled, and loaded accurately and securely.
- Maintain high-quality standards through ongoing QA/QC of packaged products, including verification of labels, batch numbers, and compliance information.
- Review and approve packaging checklists and quality documentation for new and existing batches.
- Identify, document, and communicate discrepancies in product quality, quantities, or equipment condition to leadership.
- Complete and submit required reports accurately and efficiently.
- Oversee batch testing and sampling processes, including compliance paperwork, METRC conversions, and coordination of lab pickups.
- Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs
- Experience: At least 3 years of directly related experience and/or training in packaging and
- inventory, analyst or logistics role or environment, preferably in the food or beverage industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Must have experience working with a high sense of urgency, preferably in a fast-paced work
- environment
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Computer Skills: Microsoft suite (core applications), Google, Slack, experience in Jira and/or
- other management platforms and software preferred
- Language Skills: Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written
- Math Skills: Possess basic mathematical skills; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Travel Requirements: Occasional travel required between buildings and sites
- Ability to maintain/manage confidential information
- State regulations require all applicants must be 21 years of age or older
- ServSafe or Food Handler’s Card preferred
- Will be required to submit to a background check
- Must obtain all applicable state-required permits, licenses, and certifications
