- Build and oversee international business strategies to identify new business opportunities in the port, logistics, and maritime industries and expand the company's presence within the LATAM & Europe Region .
- Provide guidance to manage the international business development pipeline, ensuring timely progress and alignment with the organization's strategic objectives.
- Lead the benchmark of new business opportunities, emerging trends, competitive landscapes and potential risks.
- Oversee the performance of international projects, delivering financial and commercials updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive business growth and ensure client satisfaction.
- Identify potential risks and implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard business interests within the region.
- Lead contract negotiations and deal closure with clients, partners, and suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
- Participate in international industry conferences, trade shows, and other networking events and effectively represent AD Ports Group and its services.
- Implement Strategies across ADPG group with key internal stakeholders.
- Prepare internal and external Presentation, Reports, IC / Board Materials etc.
- Lead projects, develop business cases, and scan new business opportunities.
- Address conflicts and challenges within the team promptly and effectively, promoting a harmonious and collaborative work environment.
- Lead the sales team in achieving revenue targets, overseeing sales pipelines, and negotiating contracts with clients.
- Establish clear performance expectations and goals, providing regular feedback and conducting performance evaluations.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication, ensuring alignment between the international strategy team and other departments within the organization.
- Contribute to the development of the organization's overall strategic vision, ensuring that international growth strategies align with and support the broader organizational goals of ADPG.
- Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry trends, integrating innovative solutions into the business strategy.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, International Business Economics, Maritime Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- A master’s degree, such as an MBA or master’s in international business, is highly preferred.
- Strategic management, Finance, Operations, or International Trade courses are plus.
- Professional certifications or diplomas in project management, supply chain management, or logistics are considered an asset.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, with a strong track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects in an international context. A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar is a plus.
- Proficiency in English preferably Portuguese (written and spoken).
- Knowledge of additional languages relevant to the region is highly advantageous.
- A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in the port, logistics, industries, with a focus on international strategy, business development, and market expansion.
- Experience in international business development with a strong focus on the port, maritime, and logistics sectors key players, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
- Familiarity with various transportation modes, such as shipping, rail, and road, and their integration in the global supply chain.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Experience in project management, strategic planning, and change management.
- Proficiency in using project management tools and software, such as MS Project, Asana, or Trello, to effectively manage and monitor project progress.
- Strong financial acumen, with understanding in financial modelling, budgeting, and analysis, as well as familiarity with relevant accounting principles and software.
- Knowledge of data analysis and business intelligence tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI) to support data-driven decision-making.
