During the workshop start-up phase, the Logistics Officer will actively support the establishment of the warehouse, inventory organization, material identification, storage location management, and implementation of warehouse processes under the direction of the Logistics Manager.
Responsibilities
- Receive aircraft components, flight controls, tooling, materials, consumables, and workshop equipment delivered to the workshop.
- Perform incoming inspections to verify quantities, documentation, packaging condition, and identification of received items.
- Ensure all received materials are correctly identified, labelled, and entered into the inventory management system.
- Store materials and components in the designated storage locations in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure full traceability of all stored materials and components.
- Issue materials, tooling, consumables, and components to the workshop in accordance with approved procedures.
- Receive returned tooling, unused materials, and serviceable components back into stock while ensuring proper documentation.
- Assist in the preparation and packaging of outbound shipments to customers, repair vendors, suppliers, and other Skyways Technics facilities.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and courier companies for local and international shipments as instructed by the Logistics Manager.
- Ensure shipping documentation is complete and accurate before dispatch.
- Support customs documentation and shipping administration where applicable.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and annual stock audits.
- Report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, or suspected unapproved parts to the Logistics Manager immediately.
- Ensure all warehouse locations, shelves, bins, and storage areas remain clearly identified and organized.
- Maintain proper storage conditions for aircraft materials, shelf-life-controlled items, and temperature-sensitive products.
- Verify expiry dates and shelf-life limitations of applicable materials and consumables.
- Ensure proper segregation of serviceable, unserviceable, quarantine, and customer-owned materials.
- Support the Logistics Manager in establishing warehouse layouts, storage systems, and inventory identification during the workshop start-up phase.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards throughout the warehouse and logistics areas.
- Ensure all warehouse activities comply with Part-145 requirements, company procedures, occupational health and safety legislation, and applicable Polish regulations.
- Support internal, customer, and authority audits by providing inventory records and warehouse documentation.
- Work closely with Workshop Production, Planning, Purchasing, Technical Services, and Quality to ensure timely material availability.
- Perform other logistics and warehouse-related duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager.
- Technical or vocational education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Operations, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management principles.
- Basic knowledge of aviation logistics or aircraft material handling is considered an advantage.
- Basic computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using ERP or inventory management systems is preferred.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- A forklift license is considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of EASA Part-145 material control requirements is desirable.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory management.
- Experience receiving, storing, issuing, and dispatching materials within a controlled warehouse environment.
- Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems.
- Experience maintaining accurate inventory records and material traceability.
- Previous experience in aviation, aerospace, manufacturing, or other regulated industries is preferred.
- Experience supporting warehouse start-up activities is considered an advantage.
- Experience in handling aircraft components or aviation materials is considered a strong advantage.
- Previous experience within a Part-145-approved organization is highly desirable.
