Shipping – Animal Care Technician

Location: Xenia, Ohio

  • Full-Time
  • Mon–Thu, 6:30 AM–5 PM (OT as needed) Pay: $16.20/hr + benefits

Reptiles by Mack is a leading reptile breeding and wholesale facility. We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Animal Care Technician to join our Shipping team.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, sort, and prepare reptiles and other animals for customer orders
  • Check counts, monitor animal health, and report discrepancies
  • Package animals safely and accurately for shipping
  • Prepare shipping documents, labels, and maintain shipment records
  • Manage shipping supplies and assist with inventory
  • Care for insects (feeding, watering, cleaning)
  • Package frozen rodents and insects for sale
  • Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

  • Ability to accurately count, sort, and follow instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills; able to learn QuickBooks and shipping software
  • Comfortable working in 80–85°F with high humidity
  • Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Reliable team player with good communication skills
