Purpose of the Role
- Receive and process incoming shipments
- Package and manage outgoing shipments (standard and secure)
- Validate inbound and outbound assets
- Manage new equipment inventory using internal systems
- Manage reusable equipment inventory using internal systems
- Support user testing of inventory tools where required
- Oversee and report on all logistics activities
- Unbox equipment for Data Centre Services installation teams
- Maintain accurate validation of all shipped assets
- Ensure proper packaging of outbound shipments
- Maintain clean, organized stockrooms
- Ensure timely and proper disposal of waste
- Maintain full accountability of all assets stored within logistics areas
- Manage day-to-day shipping operations and related logistics tasks
- Maintain adequate tooling and supplies to support operations
- Ensure all activities follow approved procedures and company policies
- Act as the primary liaison for Data Centre Logistics, collaborating with internal teams
- Support logistics-related issues, queries, and operational tasks across data centre locations
- Maintain oversight of logistics operations across all relevant sites
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and operational standards
- Coordinate with internal teams to support deployment and handover of new or refreshed equipment
- Support audits related to reusable inventory
- Ensure all assets are accurately recorded in inventory systems
- Perform monthly cycle counts (minimum 10%) of stockroom inventory
- Maintain accurate records of all company-owned tools and equipment
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) of logistics tools
- Assist with ordering materials and raising purchase requests where required
- Conduct data quality checks to ensure proper tracking and process compliance
- Keep all inventory and asset management systems up to date
- Strong responsiveness and customer focus
- Understanding of working in critical environments requiring zero downtime
- Good knowledge of logistics operations and services
- Physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Organized with good written English skills
- Basic proficiency in PC applications (email, Word, Excel)
- Willingness to learn and develop technical and operational skills
- Committed to delivering excellent customer service
- Calm and able to work under pressure, including emergency situations
- Self-motivated with a proactive “can-do” attitude
- Able to carry tools and components (up to 20kg) across site
