Manufacturing Kitting Specialist

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
- Pull and organize required parts, components, hardware, and materials to develop complete customer kits.
- Review work orders, bills of materials (BOMs), pick lists, and assembly documentation to ensure kit accuracy.
- Verify part numbers, quantities, and configurations before completing kits.
- Inspect parts for damage, defects, or discrepancies prior to shipment.
- Coordinate with Quality Control to address any part issues or shortages.
- Package and label kits according to customer requirements and shipping procedures.
- Ensure all required documentation is included with completed kits.
- Maintain accurate inventory transactions and update material tracking systems.
- Communicate shortages, discrepancies, or inventory concerns to the appropriate department.
- Support inventory accuracy through proper material handling and organization.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Follow established manufacturing, quality, and safety procedures.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and material movement activities as needed.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience preferred.
- Experience with kitting, inventory control, or production support preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, pick lists, and bills of materials.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and material flow.
- Ability to identify and verify part numbers and quantities.
- Experience using inventory tracking systems preferred.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate records.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with Production, Quality, Shipping, and Materials teams.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds.
