Summary:

This role is responsible for handling air import shipments and ensuring compliance with all internal and external regulations. Building and sustaining connections with warehouses, customers, and carriers is necessary to ensure that items are delivered on time.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Track, trace, and monitor air import shipments from start to finish
• Handle truck dispatching and arrange domestic movement as needed
• Provide customer service and assist with billing inquiries
• Obtain shipping details, enter data for each shipment, and oversee all paperwork for cargo release.
• Communicate with the transportation provider and the ground handling agency when managing shipments.
• Ensure excellent communication with clients, shipping companies, foreign representatives, suppliers, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1-2 years’ experience in Air Import operations from a freight forwarding company
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong communications skills via phone call and email
• Ability to work in a fast-pace environment, with a team or independently
• High School Diploma or equivalent
