Responsibilities
Planning & Coordination
- Develop and manage import and export shipment plans based on business requirements and inventory targets.
- Monitor supply and demand forecasts to ensure timely replenishment and product availability.
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and internal stakeholders to align shipment schedules.
- Track shipment status and proactively resolve potential delays or supply disruptions.
- Oversee end-to-end import and export processes from purchase order issuance to cargo delivery.
- Ensure all shipping documents are accurate and completed on time, including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, and other required documents.
- Coordinate customs clearance activities and ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations.
- Manage import permits, quarantine requirements, and regulatory documentation where applicable.
- Analyze logistics, freight, duty, and import-related costs to identify savings opportunities.
- Support freight negotiation and transportation optimization initiatives.
- Monitor landed cost performance and recommend improvement actions.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, trade agreements, company policies, and government requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit readiness.
- Monitor changes in trade regulations and assess potential business impacts.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Import-Export custom operations, export planning operations, Supply Chain, Logistics Planning.
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, shipping documentation, and inter market supply planning operations.
- Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and government agencies.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Good command of English, both written and verbal.
