The Logistics Coordinator at Jabil, Inc. is responsible for orchestrating the efficient flow of materials, products, and information throughout the supply chain. This role ensures timely and cost-effective delivery of goods while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities**
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations, including shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs forms, and other necessary paperwork.
- Track and trace shipments, providing regular updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, suppliers, and customers to resolve logistics-related issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and other relevant logistics information.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., procurement, planning, production, sales) to align logistics activities with overall business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Assist in the selection and evaluation of transportation providers and logistics partners.
- Support the implementation of new logistics technologies and processes.
- Awareness about Freight In, Freight Out cost, overall logistic cost
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a logistics coordination or similar supply chain role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of logistics principles, transportation modes, and supply chain best practices.
- Proficiency in logistics software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures is a plus.
