Job Description

Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!

Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.

Where and how you can work

Alongside our global campuses, we also collaborate with talented contractors and freelancers from all over the world to help us achieve our crazy big goals. While we support flexible, remote-friendly ways of working, for this role we’re focusing on São Paulo, Brazil, so we can best support our teams and keep collaboration flowing.

This role is a 12-month engagement, working full-time hours.

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

We're looking for an Influencer Strategist to own Canva's brand presence through creators in Brazil.

What you'll do

  • Define and own Canva Brazil's influencer strategy, including who we partner with, why we partner with them, and how Canva shows up creatively through creators.
  • Co-create integrated brand campaigns with the Brand Marketing Lead, bringing an influencer-first perspective to key brand moments.
  • Develop creative direction and briefs for influencer partnerships, ensuring content feels unmistakably Canva while resonating authentically with Brazilian audiences.
  • Review scripts and creator content with a strong brand and creative lens, continuously raising the bar for quality, authenticity, and cultural relevance.
  • Identify the right creators for the right opportunities, using your understanding of Brazil's creator landscape, communities, and culture.
  • Own the influencer budget end-to-end, making strategic investment decisions while managing the operational requirements needed to keep campaigns moving.
  • Lead the relationship with our influencer agency as the strategic point of contact, aligning on objectives, reviewing outputs, and maintaining a high quality bar.
  • Analyse campaign and creator performance, translating data into clear insights and recommendations that help us understand what's working, what isn't, and where we should go next.
  • Partner across Brand, Social, and Growth to connect influencer activity with Canva's broader marketing strategy rather than treating creators as a standalone channel.
  • Support influencer opportunities across Events, Education, Growth, Partnerships, and other teams, bringing a consistent strategic and brand perspective to every collaboration.

You're probably a match if

  • You have relevant of experience in influencer marketing, brand strategy, or a combination of both, ideally in roles where brand building was as important as performance.
  • You understand how creators contribute to a broader 360° brand strategy and can connect individual partnerships to a bigger narrative and business objective.
  • You have strong creative instincts and hands-on experience developing briefs, reviewing scripts and creator content, and pushing ideas to a higher creative standard.
  • You know the Brazilian creator landscape deeply and have strong instincts for the people, conversations, cultural moments, and communities that genuinely resonate with Brazilian audiences.
  • You can distinguish between content that generates short-term results and work that builds long-term brand perception — and understand when each matters.
  • You're comfortable owning influencer budgets independently, balancing strategic investment decisions with the operational and administrative details required to execute.
  • You're confident managing influencer agencies and creators, setting clear expectations, giving constructive creative feedback, and holding partners accountable for quality.
  • You're comfortable using data to evaluate influencer strategies, challenge assumptions, and make clear recommendations about what to continue, change, or stop.
  • You're an excellent communicator and collaborator who can bring creators, agencies, and internal stakeholders along with your thinking.
  • You're fully proficient in English, as you'll collaborate regularly with both Brazilian and global teams.
  • Bonus points if you've worked in tech, consumer apps, or another fast-growing environment.
