About The Role

Our WA Terminals team is seeking a motivated and safety-focused Terminals Day Shift Operator to join our Chemical and Fuels Bulk Liquid Storage operations in Kwinana. You'll be part of a small, flexible team responsible for the safe receipt, storage and load out of bulk liquid products, with opportunities for ongoing training and career development.

Working Monday to Friday, this role offers regular overtime opportunities and exposure to a diverse range of terminal operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely receive, store and load out bulk liquid products
  • Assist with loading and unloading bulk liquids from ships at the Kwinana Bulk Jetty and rail tank cars at Coogee's rail sidings
  • Conduct tank dipping, sampling and product quality checks
  • Operate pumps, valves and associated terminal equipment
  • Carry out pipeline pigging and routine operational tasks
  • Follow safe work procedures and contribute to a strong safety culture
  • Work with products including fuels, acid, caustic soda, liquid fertilisers and other chemicals

The Successful Candidate Will Have

  • Experience in manual labour, industrial operations or a similar hands-on role
  • A strong commitment to safety and teamwork
  • Knowledge of dangerous goods handling, safe work systems and operational procedures (desirable)
  • An understanding of the storage and handling requirements for flammable and corrosive liquids (desirable)
  • Mechanical aptitude or mechanical qualifications (desirable)
  • Forklift and/or crane tickets (desirable)
  • Emergency response experience or exposure (desirable)
  • Experience or knowledge of dangerous goods handling, safe work systems and procedures, and the storage and handling of flammable and corrosive liquids (desirable)
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills
