Experienced Shipping Associate

Sportsfield Specialties is seeking a hands-on Experienced Shipping Associate who can work independently and/or with others as a production team member with good analytical skills. Candidate must be reliable and flexible with the schedule.

Responsibilities/Duties include but not limited to:

• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with the required procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Fill all customer orders with accuracy and in a timely manner.
• Stage daily orders by shipping category/location.
• Ability to read production and product paperwork to ensure specifications.
• Place orders in designated warehouse areas.
• Assemble and build custom pallets or packing crates required per product specifications.
• Ability to read measuring tools.
• Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store products.
• Pack and ship items securely and effectively to minimize damage.
• Ensure that inventory and shipments are secure and well-organized.
• Ability to trouble shoot and think outside the box when shipping issues occur.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner in a deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with assigned team member(s) and customers.
• Ability to operate hand tools, and warehouse equipment safely.

Experience/Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift experience preferred, but not required.
• Preferred 5 years of warehouse and shipping experience.
• Familiar with ERP software.

Starting Rate: $19/hour, the starting pay indicated represents the minimum pay for the position. The starting pay may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill, and education as they relate to the positions qualifications, and internal equity. The posted starting pay reflects just one component of our total benefit/rewards package.
