Position Summary
The Expeditor II is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of materials, equipment, and documentation required for projects. The role involves proactive monitoring of supplier performance, identifying potential delays, coordinating corrective actions, and providing accurate status reporting to support project execution schedules.
The Expeditor acts as the primary interface between suppliers, client, procurement, engineering, quality, logistics, and project management teams to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with contractual requirements.
The Role
As an Expeditor II with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.
Key Responsibilities
Expediting & Supplier Management
- Monitor supplier progress against approved manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and delivery schedules.
- Review purchase orders and contractual delivery requirements.
- Conduct regular follow-up with suppliers to ensure compliance with project milestones.
- Identify schedule risks, delays, and bottlenecks and implement mitigation plans.
- Conduct supplier kick-off meetings and progress review meetings.
- Coordinate with suppliers to expedite critical equipment and materials.
- Ensure suppliers maintain adequate resources and manufacturing capacity to meet project schedules.
- Track engineering, procurement, manufacturing, inspection, testing, and shipment activities.
- Maintain Material Status Reports (MSR), Expediting Reports, and Supplier Progress Reports.
- Provide accurate and timely updates to project stakeholders.
- Generate weekly and monthly performance reports highlighting critical issues and recovery actions.
- Monitor supplier KPIs and delivery performance metrics.
- Liaise closely with Procurement, Engineering, QA/QC, Inspection, Logistics, and Construction teams.
- Coordinate resolution of technical, commercial, quality, and logistical issues impacting delivery schedules.
- Support project teams during critical procurement and execution phases.
- Ensure alignment between supplier schedules and overall project milestones.
- Conduct desk expediting activities.
- Review field expediting & inspection visit reports and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Participate in supplier audits and performance evaluations.
- Proactively Monitor submission and approval of supplier documentation.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and client standards,
- Verify completion of inspection, testing, certification, and shipping documentation prior to delivery.
- Support document control and close-out activities.
- Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely shipment and delivery.
- Monitor, Track & verify the packing list, N/N documents, preservation, transportation, and customs clearance activities.
- Identify and coordinate logistics-related delays.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Production Engineering...
- Equivalent industry experience may be considered.
- Minimum 8-13 years of experience in expediting, procurement, supply chain, or project execution within the Oil & Gas, LNG, Chemical, Petrochemical, Refining, or Energy sectors.
- Experience with EPC, EPCM, or major capital projects is preferred.
- Proven experience managing critical equipment suppliers and international supply chains.
