Job Title: Team Leader

Job Location: DHL Global Forwarding, Freight (DGFF) GSC, India (Mumbai)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of associates/members, and be responsible for process, stakeholder & employee management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive end-to-end Beer,Wine & Spirits operations (Export/Import, FCL/LF /LFL shipments).
• Ensure achievement of KPIs: Productivity, Quality, TAT, SLA adherence, and Cost control.
• Monitor shipment lifecycle including booking, documentation (BL, SI), tracking, invoicing.
• Ensure compliance with trade regulations, carrier requirements, and DGFF SOPs.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and standardization initiatives.
• Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction through timely and accurate shipment execution.
• Manage communication with global stakeholders, customers, carriers, and origin/destination offices.
• Handle escalations and ensure proactive issue resolution.
• Build trust through responsiveness, transparency, and service reliability.
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of Beer, Wine & Spirits associates.
• Conduct goal setting, performance reviews, and regular feedback sessions.
• Drive employee engagement, motivation, and retention initiatives.
• Ensure effective resource planning, workload distribution, and backup management.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Export & Import processes
• Documentation: Bill of Lading, Shipping Instructions, AMS/ENS filings
• Carrier operations, co-loaders, and shipping lines
• Manage shipment milestones and ensure exception handling and resolution.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, transport teams, and internal departments.
• Support process transitions and knowledge management initiatives.
• Leverage systems and tools for tracking, reporting, and performance monitoring.
• Use data analytics to drive insights and operational improvements.
• Ensure accurate MIS reporting and dashboard tracking.
• Promote digitization and automation within BWS processes.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree (Logistics / Supply Chain preferred)
• 2+ years in operations with team handling experience
• Strong knowledge of BWS processes, documentation, and compliance
• Expertise in stakeholder and people management
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and freight forwarding systems
• 24*7 shifts
