What You'll Do
- Perform railcar and truck loading and offloading, startup, shutdown, and general operation of pumps, screws, belts, tanks, valves, and other process equipment
- Conduct regular operational rounds to monitor equipment health
- Perform some minor maintenance activities
- Monitor and operate equipment and associated systems within standard operating conditions and limits
- Assist with startup, shut down, and operation of processes and equipment from a field role
- Respond to and appropriately addresses process and equipment upsets
- Identify possible or current operating problems and recommend action to resolve any deficiencies in rate, quality, or mechanical operation
- Safely handle of dry products, nitric acid and liquid fertilizer while loading rail cars and trucks
- Perform minor maintenance and housekeeping duties
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, understand and apply operating procedures
- Able to use computers for job functions and training
- Mechanical and process troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Commitment to working in a highly safety-conscious environment
