Essential Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily workload based on production schedules, shipping priorities, and customer commitments.
- Collaborate with Production and Project Managers to understand equipment completion status and forecast shipping requirements.
- Develop and maintain load plans to efficiently utilize available truck space.
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments utilizing various transportation methods, including LTL, FTL, air freight, and ocean freight.
- Prepare and review commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and other shipping documents.
- Ensure compliance with export regulations and international shipping requirements.
- Understand and verify heat treatment certifications and marking requirements for export wood packaging in accordance with ISPM-15.
- Perform final inspections of completed crates to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with customer requirements.
- Verify correct equipment, quantities, labeling, documentation, and packaging prior to shipment.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; 3 years or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Language Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
- Reasoning Abilities
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Other Skills/Abilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
