Hourly Wage

ISS Guckenheimer offers full-time employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, as well as a comprehensive leave program based on employment status. The hourly pay range for this position is $24.50 per hour - $26.50 per hour.

Work Hours

The work hours for this position are approximately 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, Mon - Fri + Weekends.

Key Purpose

  • Places orders and receives orders from purveyors.
  • Maintain accurate inventory to the highest standards for organization, cleanliness, and safety.

Key Areas of Collaboration and Influence

  • Verify and keep accurate records on incoming orders
  • Receives, lifts, moves, stores, issues, counts, sorts, weighs, and verifies items on requisitions or invoices
  • Receives and processes a wider variety of incoming freight, including produce, meats, dairy, dry goods, chemicals, and other materials on a daily basis and according to priority
  • Compares incoming products to bills of invoices, orders, or other records to verify information
  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with vendors to rectify damages and shortages
  • Orders Products using Net menu Platform and rotates stock to ensure freshness
  • Prepares product for distribution, including transportation and storage
  • Returns damaged items or other items to vendors that do not meet our specifications
  • Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of storage areas by sweeping and mopping
  • Complies with all HACCP/OSHA, and/ or local policies and procedures related to all assigned work
  • Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments
  • Drive company van and make deliveries
  • Build relationships with delivery vendors

Ideal Candidate Experience

  • Ability to smile and keep calm under busy working conditions
  • Previous food-receiving experience is a plus
  • Current Food Handler card or ability to be certified immediately after hire
  • Must have a current Driver's License and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report
  • Bilingual (English/ Spanish) is a plus
  • Must be willing and able to safely drive an 18' panel van
  • Must be willing and able to learn how to safely operate a fork lift

  • Ability to communicate with coworkers and other departments with professionalism and respect
  • Maintain a professional relationship with all coworkers, vendor representatives, supervisors, managers, customers, and client representatives
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Produce, Meat, and Seafood product knowledge
  • The job requires knowledge of MSDS and correct chemical handling
  • Assist other team members and staff as required

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Work up to 8 hours a day on your feet, excluding breaks
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs.
  • Come to work properly dressed according to the dress code
  • Employees must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods
  • Ability to remove garbage and transport to dumpster areas
  • Proper lifting skills when handling stock
  • Ability to load and push a cart long distances
