Yard Operative

What You’ll Be Doing
- Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently
- Moving and organising stock and materials around the yard
- Preparing lintels and products for customer orders and dispatch
- Keeping the yard clean, tidy and well organised
- Checking products and materials before dispatch
- Supporting the wider yard and production team as required
- Following all company health and safety procedures
- Operating yard equipment safely following appropriate training
- A strong work ethic and a reliable approach to work
- Good attention to detail
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- A willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
- Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, construction or manufacturing environment would be an advantage, but full training will be provided for the right candidate
- Reliable and punctual
- Hardworking with a positive attitude
- Strong team player
- Good attention to detail
- Safety-conscious approach to work
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Good communication skills
- Able to follow instructions and work independently
- Previous yard, warehouse, construction or manufacturing experience is desirable
- Forklift experience/certification would be an advantage
- Willingness to learn and develop within the role
