Your new Role
The Logistics Lead – Warehouse & Road will oversee warehouse and road transportation operations across a complex, highly regulated supply chain environment, ensuring safe, compliant, and cost‑effective logistics performance while driving continuous improvement and standardization.
This person reports to the Global Logistics Manager and leads a team of distribution specialists, working closely with Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Service, Finance, and external third‑party logistics partners to deliver high service levels and operational excellence.
The Logistics Lead – Warehouse & Road will:
- Lead and develop a team of distribution specialists, ensuring capability growth and consistent performance across regions;
- Own governance and performance management of third‑party warehouses and logistics providers through KPIs and structured reviews;
- Drive standardization and continuous improvement across inbound, outbound, and inter‑site logistics flows;
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to align logistics operations with business priorities and customer requirements;
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of logistics master data, reporting, and shipment information;
- Deliver strong service performance against OTIF, lead time, and cost‑to‑serve targets;
- Ensure compliance with local and international transport, customs, and trade regulations;
- Lead optimization of warehouse and transport networks to improve efficiency and reduce costs;
- Drive and implement improvement initiatives aligned with global logistics strategy;
- Balance service, cost, and risk when making operational and freight prioritization decisions.
A typical day will include leading operational activities across multiple regions, managing logistics partners, analyzing performance metrics, driving improvement initiatives, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient, compliant, and customer‑focused logistics operations.
Please consider that this role requires availability for occasional travel to other company sites (it will be expected to travel once every quarter).
What you will need to succeed
As a Logistics Lead – Warehouse & Road, you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management, or a related field;
- + 8 years of experience in Multi‑Site Logistics (including management of logistics service providers and international transportation flows within regulated industries);
- Proven experience Leading Teams and driving performance across logistics operations;
- Experience delivering continuous improvement and standardization initiatives across multiple sites;
- Experience working with ERP systems, TMS/WMS, and logistics reporting tools;
- Strong understanding of warehousing operations, transportation, and global trade (including import/export processes and transport regulations such as ADR/DOT);
- Solid knowledge of international freight, customs, and trade compliance frameworks;
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate Data into actionable insights;
- Strong commercial awareness, balancing cost, service, and risk considerations;
- Advanced skills in Office 365 and Power BI (would be a plus);
- Excellent communication skills – Fluency in English.
