Shipper B
Role
Responsible for overseeing customer shipments to maintain on-time delivery. Prepare shipments of castings in accordance with customer orders under the direction of shipping foreman.
Responsibilities
- Promote a safe Work environment.
- Work in shipment Portals as needed
- Work directly with Plant Shippers and power vehicle operators
- Answers customers’ questions/concerns and participation in customer C.A.R. teams
- Orders and reviews 3rd party trucking for customer pickup and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of all material received in the plant. This includes stockroom inventory items, maintenance supplies, production supplies and raw materials. Report all shortages and defective items received to the vendor that shipped it.
- Prepare all freight bill of lading for all outbound shipments. Must keep up to date and accurate records of where each customer requires their castings shipped and which carrier or method of shipment they require. These changes on a daily basis.
- Operate forklift to load and unload castings, dunnage, or various supplies.
- Coordinate shipments in warehouse and call in trucks for shipments.
- May prepare shipping sheet and invoices.
- Weigh, count castings, check weights, and count for accuracy.
- Verify finished goods accuracy through scanning and shuttle truck verifications
- Keep warehouse in neat order and keep area clean.
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent.
- Related training and/or experience preferred.
- Solid work history.
