Join our team as a Shipping Operator at our energetic beverage plant! You will be responsible for checking, inspecting, and verifying all shipments. Typical duties involve shipping product, overseeing relevant data systems, and accurately filling out paperwork. What You Will Be Doing
Oversee the shipping of items in the warehouse, and ensure that the shipments are inspected, sorted, and loaded in transportation truck.
Position is in Denver. Rate $25.20/hour.
Main Responsibilities
Support shipping procedure:
- Review shipments, check for damages, and sort stock for distribution.
- Trailer Inspection, report exceptions to Quality, check if all shipping criteria are met, record deviations on corrective form.
- Fill orders by taking items from the warehouse and prepare them for delivery.
- Pick order from Warehouse according to the Picking List.
- Fill out the Bill of Lading information.
- Complete the Outbound Trailer Inspection Form
- Load carefully to avoid damaging the product.
- Verify pallets are wrapped in shrink wrap inspected to ensure that there is no damage and that it is the correct product.
- Shipments may be rejected if documentation is not available, or the information does not match the shipment.
We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:
- Must be able to bend and lift heavy boxes.
- Well-organized, able to multitask but also attentive to detail.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to think quickly and resolve issues.
- Knowledgeable in shipping management and transaction software, as well as MS Office preferable
- Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and similar equipment.
- Positive attitude.
- Always Work safely.
- Maintain good attendance.
- Demonstrate the ability to work from verbal instructions and manuals for sanitizing procedures.
- Complete all training as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work overtime, irregular hours, or rotating shifts as required.
- High school diploma, or GED, preferred.
- Previous food manufacturing and/or Machine Operator experience preferred.
- Ability to do basic math and use calculators.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
- Speak, write, and understand English.
