Your Role And Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for local import/export operations. Each day, you will supervise performance of customs brokers. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring smooth execution of operational trade and customs activities within a local unit, including relevant documentation and compliance with regulations.

This role is contributing to the Electrification in Turkiye.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Monitors daily import/export shipments and ensures smooth customs clearance via the appointed customs brokers.
- Acts as point of contact for customs brokers in case of clarification needs (e.g., regarding valuation or classification of products).
- Understands and applies relevant customs procedures and ensures the relevant declarations are correctly made.
- Audits customs brokers regarding the correctness of customs entries, invoicing, and archiving.
- Ensures all customs-related records are maintained and archived correctly.
- Provides reporting as required on day-to-day activities.
- Manages the necessary documentation and online forms for the efficient, cost-effective, and lawful execution of all import/export activities.
- Maintains and shares with colleagues, as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant import/export laws and procedures, tariffs, duties, licenses, and restrictions in close cooperation with local and country Trade Compliance Officers.
- Communicates with export- and import-related authorities and suppliers, as necessary, to ensure efficient execution.
- Maintains relevant data in the local trade and customs applications (e.g., SAP Global Trade Services).
- Facilitates continuous review and improvement in the operational transport and trade/customs activities.
- Supervises customs broker’s daily performance and cost, taking action to ensure compliance with associated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Supports the development and implementation of improved processes and systems and maintains master data
- Minimum 5 years of experience in customs operations trade compliance, or customs brokerage
- Smooth and compliant customs clearance based on Turkish Customs Law and Regulations
- Experience with customs declarations and broker coordination
- Familiarity with SAP GTS or similar trade compliance systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to proactively identify risks and challenge stakeholders
- Good communication skills in English and local language
- Preffered Licensed Customs Broker (B License)
