TRADE SPECIALIST

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Completed undergraduate education
• 5 - 7 years of experience in the Maritime Transportation sector
• Have good command of English
• Able to use MS Office programs effectively
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High persuasiveness
• Able to adapt to dynamic and intense work tempo
• No travel restrictions

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Yield compliance, analysis & optimization
• Analyze yield development and take action to optimize it, including, but not limited to analyzing imbalance and equipment flow
• Implement rate increases and cost recovery actions, including, but not limited to bunker cost increases, seasonal surcharges and inland cost recovery actions
• Guide sales on priorities and customer development
• Cargo selection and curtailment; ; in order to maintain maximum utilization of the vessels, regular allocation share between agencies, follow up and interfere when needed
• Develop relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally, with special attention to internal customers in particular sales ,operation ,logistics ,finance and transshipment department
• Follow up on competitors actions, analyze impact competition on business and take actions to optimize outcome for Arkas Line. Closely monitors the developments in the markets , supports the Trade Manager in determining strategies and policies; visits and reports on the customers in the countries where they are located, as deemed necessary to increase their market share
• Meets the special freight requests of the Agencies by taking into account their needs and ARL's interests
• Determine market and pricing strategy of ARL
• Visits the Agencies when necessary to check whether they are working in accordance with the current strategies and policies and makes necessary warnings and recommendations to the Agencies
• During the budgeting process, combine the necessary budget data and monitors. In case of deviations, it determines the measures to be taken
• Makes commercial decisions regarding the types of commodity that can be accepted on board
• Conduct commercial assessments and take measures if necessary to ensure maximum profitability and utilization
