Your Core Responsibilities
- Prepare carbon fiber components for painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and surface preparation.
- Apply primers, fillers, and paint coatings using spray-painting techniques while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Perform finishing work, including sanding, wet sanding, polishing, and touch-ups to achieve a flawless surface finish.
- Inspect painted surfaces and ensure all products meet established quality requirements.
- Maintain painting equipment and tools to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of painting processes and best practices.
- Follow all company guidelines, quality requirements, and health & safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Experience using air spray guns for priming and painting in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Experience with surface preparation, including masking, cleaning, degreasing, and paint finishing.
- Ability to perform detailed touch-up work when required.
- Ability to work safely in an environment involving dust particles, paint products, and other chemicals while wearing full PPE.
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing hands-on work, including working in confined or tight spaces.
- Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- Willingness to work on a two-shift schedule (8-hour morning and afternoon shifts).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering a high-quality surface finish.
- Understanding health & safety requirements, facility needs, and equipment requirements within a professional paint shop.
- Previous experience in automotive, marine, aerospace, or other high-end industrial painting environments preferred.
- Experience setting up, improving, or optimizing painting processes.
- Experience working with composite or carbon fiber components.
