• Monitor inbound and outbound shipment processing through the clearance process and ensures clearance is smooth and rapid – including customs, quarantine, censorship etc.
• Work closely with all stakeholders in planning strategies so as to clear and release the Client’s shipment on time.
• Ensure the clearance process meets all legal and statutory requirements
• Evaluate Customs Clearance procedures and methods to achieve optimum service and cost performance
• Continually develop knowledge on customs qualifications, ensuring new regulations are understood and implemented where required.
• Handle technical details relating international transportation, such as customs regulations and any necessary documentation.
• Liaise with customers where paperwork and authorisation are required from them to expedite clearance of their shipments.
• Manages Customs Clearance Unit resources including cost and performance management.
• Analyse Customs Clearance performance and solve the problem and take corrective actions with relative parties for the most competitive Clearance Performance/Capability
• Ensure accurate preparation of Customs declarations and the timely lodgement of those declarations
• Consult the Declaration of customs process in various sectors for sales and relevant departments.
• Update new customs, technical and trade regulations to sales, relevant departments and customers.
• Support clients in post-clearance audit and customs revaluation consultation.
