Your Role

Join the Pricing Desk Europe (PDE) and play a vital role in driving profit and volume growth at Forto. You will support the commercial team by providing timely and accurate quotations and contribute to Forto’s growth through collaboration with our tech teams. Your role is essential in delivering precise and prompt quotations, enhancing the customer experience, and advancing Forto’s strategic growth initiatives.

You Will

• Prepare and deliver accurate sea freight quotations within agreed turnaround times, directly supporting commercial teams in driving new business.
• Develop and apply competitive pricing strategies based on market rates, carrier data, and lane-specific trends, while acting as a core interface between trade, commercial, and operations to ensure alignment on strategy and execution.
• Execute quality checks on rate calculations, surcharges, and currency conversions to safeguard margins and pricing accuracy.
• Maintain and continuously improve pricing tools, rate sheets, and templates in Excel or Google Sheets to ensure data integrity and consistency.
• Collaborate closely with our Tech-Product teams to enhance pricing systems and automate quotation workflows, bridging traditional freight forwarding practices with digital solutions.
• Manage pricing processes that are sustainable and scalable across our European Sea Freight network.

You Bring

• Practical knowledge or hands-on experience in logistics, ideally sea freight, with an interest in pricing structures and carrier market dynamics.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills for managing, analyzing, and validating pricing data.
• A structured, detail-oriented, and independent working style, paired with strong organizational and time management skills.
• An open, curious mindset with the drive to challenge existing approaches and explore new ways of working.
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across commercial and tech teams.
• Business fluency in German and English.
• Motivation, drive, and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
