The core responsibilities of this role include:Kit assembly read work orders, blueprints and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to pull and package exact parts, tools or materials.
Position: First (1st) Shift Kitting Technician
Shift: 6:00am 230pm Monday –; Friday Pay: $24.35per hour
In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, track part shortages, and use warehouse management or inventory software to process finished kits.
- Quality Assurance: Verify that components match part numbers, check for defects or damage before packing and accurately label kits.
- Staging and Delivery: Deliver completed kits to production lines, assembly floores, or designated work areas to prevent workflow delays.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to strict workplace regulations, which often include FOD (Foreign Object Debris) prevention and using PPE like steel-toe shoes or cleanroom suits.
- Experience: 1-3 years in manufacturing, warehousing or production environment
- Physical Demands: able to stand or walk for long periods and regularly lift up to 50lbs.
- Skills: Strong basic math, basic computer and database skills and excellent organizational abilities

Kitting Technician Role Profile
Role Purpose:
The kitting technician will be required to assemble, inspect, clean, package and kit machined parts and bought-in items necessary for various customized types of kits.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible to assemble components and produce quality work, free from errors in a clean room environment.
- Responsible for area and tool maintenance & cleanliness.
- Responsible for various complex assembly work of modified parts to produce customized kits.
- Responsible for inventory management and control.
- Knowledge and ability to use tools to assemble parts.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure production goals are met.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Associate Degree or equivalent in a related field of study
- Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment
- Must have 6 months experience in a complex kitting, assembly environment
