Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 to 2 years or more in Carpentry, Manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to comprehend basic math
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work within a diverse work environment
- Highly thorough and dependable
- Must be punctual and have a good attendance record
- Performs work independently with minimal supervision
- Possesses a high degree of initiative
- Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure
- Ability to
- Work independently and as a member of a team
- Be a team player
- Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
- Operate power equipment in a safe manner
- Lift and/or push/pull up to 50 lbs
- Twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis
- Use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements
- Work at a steady, fast pace while kneeling and/or twisting
- Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8-hour day)
Responsibilities
- Pallet Inspector/Palamatic Operator:
- Safely and securely inspect pallets at a rate that meets company standards and in a manner thatmeets company safety standards
- Manually lift 70lb pallets from a stack to a rolling line; in addition lift the pallets for inspectionand separation utilizing the palamatic machine
- Quality:
- Ensure that proper inspection and separation is met
- Inventory:
- Conduct physical inventories as required
- Safety and Security:
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety
- Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards
- Must wear all safety equipment while repairing pallets
- Performs duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
- Performs other duties as assigned
