We are currently looking for a Project Cargo and Heavy Lift Manager in France. This position supports the commercial development, bidding, procurement, planning , coordination, and execution of project cargo and heavy lift movements, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery in line with customer and company requirements.
Operations Management
- Lead and oversee the execution of Project Cargo and Heavy Lift shipments
- Manage daily project operations and resource allocation.
- Coordinate transportation plans, route surveys, lifting studies and method statements.
- Manage relationships with carriers, vendors, ports and subcontractors.
- Procuring prices from vendors for the RFQ’s and rate requests.
- Ensure compliance with safety, legal, customs and operational requirements.
- Resolve operational issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Supervise and support operational Project Cargo personnel.
- Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
Commercial Support & Business Development
- Prepare quotations and RFQ responses.
- Develop cost-effective logistics solutions .
- Participate in customer meetings.
- Support Sales in developing Project Cargo opportunities.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers and strategic partners.
Financial Management
- Control project costs and profitability.
- Ensure timely invoicing and job closure.
- Monitor departmental financial performance.
- Review project margins and implement corrective actions where required.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 15 years working experience with minimum of 10 years’ experience in freight forwarding industry
- 5 years’ experience in project logistics or related heavy transport operations
- Knowledge of HSE standards in logistics
- Good spoken and written English
