Shipping and Receiving Clerk

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to support the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of materials throughout our facility. This role is responsible for ensuring materials are received, stored, tracked, and delivered to the appropriate production or operational areas in a safe and timely manner. The Material Handler will play an important role in maintaining accurate inventory, supporting production requirements, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely receive, unload, inspect, store, and distribute materials and inventory.
• Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and other delivery vehicles.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, transaction logs, and required documentation.
• Deliver materials to production and operational areas based on established schedules and requirements.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine inventory counts and investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Follow all company safety procedures, warehouse policies, and material-handling guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Assist with packaging, labeling, staging, and shipping finished products as needed.
• Coordinate with warehouse, production, shipping, receiving, and other teams to ensure smooth material flow.
• Perform additional warehouse and material-handling duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in material handling, warehousing, manufacturing, distribution, or a related environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic math and computer skills, including the ability to maintain inventory records.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. or as required by the position.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adjust to changing priorities.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies consistently.
• Forklift or material-handling equipment experience/certification is a plus.
