About the Role
We are looking for an experienced LNG Trader to join our global LNG trading team in Spain, Geneva or Dubai.
The LNG Trader will be responsible for identifying and executing profitable trading opportunities across physical and financial LNG markets, contributing to the continued growth of the Company's global LNG trading platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute physical and paper LNG trading strategies across global markets,
- Develop and manage profitable trading portfolios while operating within approved risk limits,
- Analyze global LNG fundamentals, including supply and demand balances, storage, shipping, weather, geopolitical developments, and pricing dynamics,
- Identify arbitrage opportunities across JKM, TTF, Henry Hub, and other relevant regional markets,
- Optimize physical cargo movements in close collaboration with Shipping and Operations teams,
- Build and maintain strong commercial relationships with producers, suppliers, utilities, traders, and other market participants,
- Negotiate spot and term LNG purchase and sales agreements,
- Work closely with Origination, Shipping, Operations, Risk, Finance, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure efficient trade execution,
- Monitor market developments and identify new trading and origination opportunities,
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline,
- Proven experience in physical LNG trading, LNG origination, or LNG portfolio optimization,
- Strong understanding of global LNG markets and pricing mechanisms, including JKM, TTF, and Henry Hub,
- Demonstrated experience executing both physical and financial LNG transactions,
- Strong knowledge of global LNG supply and demand fundamentals, shipping, logistics, and cargo optimization,
- Understanding of regasification capacity, European gas markets, and LNG infrastructure,
- Experience identifying arbitrage opportunities and managing trading risk,
- Established relationships with LNG producers, suppliers, utilities, traders, or other key market participants are highly desirable,
- Strong analytical, commercial, negotiation, and decision-making skills,
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial trading environment,
- Fluency in English is required. Additional languages are an advantage.
