Position Description: Supply Technician (MAK - Germany)
- Document and process the receipt, packaging, movement, shipping and/or storage of government/company property/material IAW site processes, Company SP’s and FOI’s.
- Work within GCSS-ARMY to Order and Receive parts
- Understands all aspects of technical supply management work related to how the site performs the contract activities
- Complete daily paperwork and record without errors.
- Assist with government orders for material and property in support of all contractual requirements.
- Responsible for site property accountability and management, assisting with updating movement of property, calibrations, research of damaged/lost items, assist with DPAS audits and preparation of Material Service requests (MSR).
- Assist in researching and resolving inventory discrepancies.
- An understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
- Communicate with onsite/off-site Government Representative(s) as necessary.
- Research and provide documentation for internal/external random, monthly and annual site audits.
- Operate material handling equipment as necessary.
- Train new and existing team members on techniques and procedures used in completing work assignments.
- Promote/provide cross training when applicable.
Position Requirements:
- A good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines
- Extensive Oracle knowledge for processing government material.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
- Acquired knowledge of COGNOS reporting tool.
- Acquired knowledge of GDLS processes, products and military technology.
- Capability of identifying, trouble shooting, and resolving discrepant material IAW site Processes
- Proven progressive problem solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate and collaborate with other Supply Technicians, Production Control Clerks, Material Coordinators and Leadership to ensure processes are aligned.
- Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), specifically section 52.245-1 Government Property.
- Candidates should be able to obtain and maintain a US Passport, and a corporate credit card for travel purposes.
- Must be able to obtain German work visa.
- Travel to remote CONUS/OCONUS locations on short notice to support operations for long or short-term durations.
- Must be able to successfully pass and maintain NACI background to obtain CAC (common access card)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) as required to access government sites for material and property accountability.
- Must be able to obtain access to GCSS-Army (Global Combat Support System – Army).
The payrate for this position is $39/hr.
