Summary

Responsible for the installation and assembly of rail systems and related components in accordance with company quality standards, production schedules, and customer specifications.


Essential Job Functions

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Install rails, gates, panels, and related hardware on boats according to specifications and assembly drawings.

  • Read and follow work orders, assembly instructions, and production schedules.

  • Measure, align, and position components to ensure proper fit and appearance.

  • Drill, fasten, and secure rail components using hand and power tools.

  • Inspect components and completed assemblies to ensure quality and compliance with company standards.

  • Verify proper operation and alignment of gates, latches, hinges, and other rail-mounted components.

  • Report material defects, missing parts, or assembly concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

  • Assist with minor adjustments and rework as needed to meet quality requirements.

  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation as required.

  • Work closely with other production departments to ensure smooth workflow and on-time completion.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • Manufacturing, assembly, marine, or construction experience preferred.

  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.

  • Ability to read basic assembly drawings and work instructions.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.


Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout a 10-hour shift.

  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, and position materials and components.

  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing/shop environment.

  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools in a production setting.
