What You Will Enjoy Doing
- In this role, you will lead and manage supply from multiple global suppliers to/from global manufacturing locations maintaining target inventory levels
- Manage international freight movements across ocean, air, courier, and expedited modes and optimize an annual freight spend of approximately $4 million, ensuring cost-effective decision-making
- Ensure full compliance with global freight regulations, export/import requirements, and customs documentation
- Manage performance of suppliers, OEM’s, partner freight forwarders, customs brokers
- Furthermore, you will lead strategic initiatives to optimize supply chain costs, streamline processes, enhance supplier reliability, and improve planning accuracy
- Placing orders and establishing reliable and efficient supply routes for opportunities in new territories
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field and/or significant relevant experience in supply planning, global logistics, or international supply operations
- Strong understanding of global freight compliance, customs regulations, and international trade documentation
- Experience managing or influencing significant freight budgets (e.g., ~$4M annually)
- Advanced analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel/Sheets and ERP/planning systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights and recommendations to management
- And finally, you must have strong personal integrity and business ethics
