This position is based at Nikkiso ACD, LLC, located in Santa Ana, CA.
Job Overview
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for preparing customer orders for shipment by verifying products, packaging and crating materials, securing loads, and ensuring all shipments meet company quality and safety standards. This is a hands-on warehouse position that requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to safely handle materials and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Verify pull sheets, shipping memo or PO against physical pumps and parts.
- Verify shipping paperwork for outside process.
- Inspect products for quality before packaging.
- Package, crate, strap, and secure products to prevent damage during transit.
- Build and prepare crates using appropriate packaging materials and tools.
- Label shipments and ensure all shipping documentation is complete.
- Take photographs of completed shipments for documentation.
- Enter and maintain outside process log.
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following 5S standards.
- Report damaged products or shipment discrepancies to manager.
- All shipments have proper paperwork and are secured.
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required
- Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
- 1 + years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of Excel.
- Previous warehouse, packaging, or shipping experience preferred.
- Forklift certification or the ability to become certified.
- Experience operating pallet jacks and material handling equipment.
- Ability to read pull sheets and follow work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Dependable with good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Stand, bend, lift, push, pull, and walk throughout the workday.
- Prepare shipments that are accurate, secure, and damage-free.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and 5S standards.
- Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and a positive attitude while supporting warehouse operations.
