What You Will Achieve
The Dispatcher oversees daily dispatch operations, ensuring efficient coordination of drivers, loads, routes, and schedules.
How You Will Do It
- Oversee equipment dispatch operations to ensure precise, customer-specific pairing of tractors, trailers, and specialized containers.
- Utilize dispatching and routing software to assign loads and track fleet movement.
- Monitor driver progress, delivery times, and route updates throughout the shift.
- Respond promptly to issues such as delays, equipment breakdowns, customer changes, or weather impacts.
- Optimize routing to increase efficiency.
- Support the Transportation Operations Manager in providing ongoing performance feedback.
- Act as shift lead, escalating issues to management as needed.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with CDL A drivers regarding load details, expectations, and updates.
- Serve as a liaison between customers, dispatch, and drivers.
- Resolve customer inquiries regarding shipment status, delays, or other concerns.
- Communicate with the scale room, maintenance, and related teams to facilitate equipment transfers for preventive maintenance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of truck maintenance
- Maintain working understanding of DOT/FMCSA regulations
- Ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced work environment, manage competing demands, and deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
- Ability to manage difficult or emotional situations, solicit customer feedback to improve service, and respond to requests for service and assistance
- Frequently lift, move, or position materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to outdoor climate
- Remain in a seated position for 65% of the scheduled shift
- Routinely performs repetitive movements such as bending, twisting, reaching, and lifting
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in the production department and other designated areas
- Pay: $25–$30/hr, plus bonus and benefits package
- Schedule: Day shift Monday–Friday
- Weekly pay
- 16 days of PTO in the first year
