Your Opportunity, Your Team
- Under supervision of the Manager, performs multiple responsibilities to support the reverse logistics process and distribution operations. Resolves problems and discrepancies related to shipment/receipt of inventory, including researching QA rejections, to reduce delays in shipments to vendor (RTV), warehouse, or customers.
- This role is onsite and will require you to work from our Suffolk, VA daily. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
- Receive pallets of product with pack slips. Examines and inspects product, containers, and materials to ensure packing within established guidelines.
- Prepare package for shipment, initials pack list, stamps pack slips, affixes labels, tickets or tags, insert program guides. Construct the box, seals and apply label in proper position on package. Remove completed or defective products or materials, placing them on moving equipment such as conveyors or in specified areas such as loading docks or staging locations.
- Operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment to safely stage and move product throughout the distribution center.
- May operate a computer system and manual tracking of information to facilitate flow of merchandise.
- Support packing team by expediting collates, product, packaging supplies and other necessary materials, as well as, researching packer problems for rectifying counts for extra pack slips or product.
- Expediently Picks (Bin/Reserve) and Puts Away merchandise including Replenishment using powered equipment within the Distribution Center.
- Identify, separates, scans to pallet or bin, labels, palletizes, and wraps merchandise to maximize trailer or storage cube.
- Identify issues with flow of product to trailers or gaylords and communicate with the Console Operator.
- Monitor the inducts and inform manifesting personnel when truck reaches capacity.
- Working knowledge of PC's including Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external customers..
- Ability to prioritize and manage time. Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment and to meet deadlines
- Working knowledge of Distribution / Merchandising processes
- Knowledge of Distribution / Returns / Inventory Control / Merchandising / Traffic or Finance Areas
- Working knowledge of WMS / Inventory systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and basic Access knowledge
