Lead Dockworker

As a Lead Dockworker, you’ll guide a team of dock workers in daily operations, ensuring freight is handled safely, efficiently and accurately. You’ll be a key player in keeping our warehouse running smoothly all while helping your team grow and succeed.
What Your Day-to-day Will Look Like
- Lead and support the dock team in loading and unloading freight using manual and powered equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts
- Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure productivity, accuracy and safety standards are met
- Train team members on proper equipment use, safety procedures and best practices
- Help organize freight on the dock according to destination and priority, ensuring accurate handling and documentation
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, drivers, and warehouse staff to coordinate freight movement
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with merchandise reconciliation
- Keep the dock clean, safe, and well-stocked with tools and supplies
- Identify and resolve operational challenges, addressing performance issues as needed
- 4 years of warehouse experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Microsoft Office experience and proficiency
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings and weekends
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Solid leadership skills; able to coach and mentor team members; Experience in a supervisory role
- Solid math skills and analytical ability
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
