Outbound Logistic Engineer

As part of Global PM/EPC Logistics & Material Management, the Global Logistics Strategy department is responsible to identify and implement new technologies, new strategies and improvement projects along the transport chain of our windfarms. We create and establish best in class processes and support the Tooling, Material Management and Operations teams on tactical and strategic initiatives. In addition we ensure that newly developed turbine components actually be transported.

Your Tasks

• You are responsible to ensure transportability of new turbine components, focused but not limited to Steel Towers
• Support the development new components from a Logistics point of view
• Support the creation of logistics manuals and instructions
• Ensure documents are accessible and are being applied throughout the entire transport chain
• Assist / lead trainings for personnel in e.g. ports and facilities
• Implement and ensure checkpoints at strategic spots along the transport chain
• Participate in prototype tests and critical logistics operations
• Perform analysis and implement short term corrections of processes and procedures to avoid damages on main components
• Identify and implement improvement measures and support to digitalize our entire transport chain
• Lead special logistics projects on demand

Your Profile

• University degree in Logistics Engineering, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or comparable education
• 5+ years of work experience in the field of Logistics Engineering or Engineering development, ideally with a logistics focus
• High organisational skills and interface thinking approach
• End-to-End thinking when it comes down to Logistics Processes, especially transportation of project cargo
• Independent and structured way of working
• Strong ability of problem solving, including a hands-on mentality to get things done
• Business fluent English language skills; German and/or Spanish are a plus
• Project Management and Process Management experience are a plus
• Digital mindset
• Outstanding ability to work in different business cultures
• Willingness to travel regularly
