Key Responsibilities
- Receive purchased products and verify against purchase order requirements
- Receive customer-supplied products and verify against customer requirements
- Generate packing slips, calculate weights, determine dimensions
- Ensure shipments are packaged according to customer requirements
- Coordinate shipments with customers and carriers
- Maintain daily shipping log
- Maintain shipping supply inventory
- Work in accordance with the quality management system ASME/ABSA
- Work in accordance with documented procedures and complete all applicable records
- Maintain production flow
- Assist with cutting pipe to required length using a bandsaw/plasma cutter
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Post-secondary education in mechanical or engineering technology is considered an asset
- Minimum 2 years of computer experience
- Experience with receiving shipping, inspection and testing, traceability, nonconformance management, corrective and preventive actions, document control, records management, and production flow processes
- Valid forklift certification
- Experience cutting pipes to required lengths using a bandsaw or plasma cutter is considered an asset
- Experience with heavy equipment, including loaders, telehandlers and overhead cranes considered an asset
- Knowledge of ASME / ABSA standards
- Familiarity with pipe grades, schedules, flange, and fittings is considered an asset
