Job Purpose

Supervision and coordination of activities related to Cargo Operations as per laid down service guidelines for Germany and multiple locations in Europe.

Key Accountabilities

  • Supervision of the cargo activities of the station
  • Maintain safety / security / operations standards and ensure implementation of the cargo process.
  • Ensure availability of the trained manpower in the station.
  • Ensure maximum utilization of space in the aircraft and responsible for upliftment of cargo as per priority.
  • Responsible for meetings and understanding clients’ requirement.
  • Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders who have direct impact in the business.
  • Update reporting manager about the challenges in operations and assist in resolving the same.
  • Addressing notices and memos from the regulatory bodies and update reporting manager regarding the same.
  • Co-ordinate with the airport authorities / custom officials to ensure necessary documentation and clearance in case of discrepancies.
  • Responsible for taking corrective actions arising from internal / external audits / inspections and other errors identified through other sources (hazard reporting / accidents / incidents etc.)
  • The position requires being aware of and complying with his / her safety responsibilities and accountabilities as laid down in SMS manual.
  • Monitoring acceptance / despatch / delivery of Cargo for outbound / inbound / transit cargo for smooth movement and maintain service standards.
  • Weight / volume /consignee / consignor details check to ensure correctness for carriage in the Aircraft.
  • Ensure implementation of laid down procedures.
  • Ensure availability of ground handling equipment’s and coordinate with stake holders for smooth operations.
  • Liaison with sales and CSC team for maximum utilization of Aircraft space for carriage of cargo.
  • Ensure booked cargo is loaded in the aircraft effectively for maximum space utilization, as per loading plan.
  • Ensure smooth / timely movement of cargo between the warehouse and respective aircraft bay.
  • Developing, implementing, maintaining and testing the compliance program, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations as well as requirements from payer partners and vendors
  • Disseminating written policies and procedures related to compliance activities
  • Building a comprehensive risk assessment and monitoring program designed to meet and exceed partner and vendor requirements
  • Establishing the compliance targets that the company must meet, and monitor its performance against these targets
  • Identifying compliance issues and designing improvements in communication, monitoring, or enforcement of compliance standards
  • Preparing regular compliance reports on the operation, efficacy, and progress of compliance efforts, violations, and risks
  • Providing strategic direction and leadership on regulatory compliance to the management team and board of directors
  • Certification and Uploading of vendor invoices on Portal
  • Travel to assigned territories for GHA inspection or customer requirement


Educational and Experience Requirements


  • Bachelor’s or Masters/MBA/PGDM/PGP/PG degree in any stream
  • 7-12 years of experience in cargo industry .
  • Desired- Prior Experience in Cargo Operations specific to Europe region
