Logistics Operations Specialist

Role Description This full-time, on-site Logistics Operations Specialist role is based in Bucharest and focuses on ensuring smooth daily logistics operations for Aosom Romania. The specialist monitors and coordinates transportation activities, manages order flow, and supports inventory and warehouse processes to maintain timely and accurate deliveries. The role involves tracking shipments, resolving logistics issues, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners to optimize supply chain efficiency. The specialist also handles customer inquiries related to deliveries, prepares reports on logistics performance, and contributes to continuous improvement of processes and service levels.

• Plan & schedule inbound/outbound truck transport
• Book carrier slots & manage loading docks
• Optimize routes & consolidate loads for cost efficiency
• Track shipments in transit; resolve delays
• Manage carrier/3PL relationships & performance
• Coordinate FCL/LCL container imports (China & Italy hub)
• Liaise with forwarders, shipping lines & customs brokers
• Prepare & verify import/customs documentation
• Track demurrage, detention & landed costs
• Maintain import calendar; escalate customs delays
• Oversee receiving, put-away & WMS stock recording

Requirements

• 6+ yrs in logistics, import/customs, or warehouse/inventory (e-commerce/retail a plus)
• Working knowledge of incoterms, customs docs & container logistics
• Hands-on WMS/ERP experience; strong Excel skills
• Fluent Romanian; good working English
• Driving license a plus; on-site role in Bucharest
