Indexed description

Transport doesn't always run exactly to plan. Drivers get delayed. Customer priorities shift. Routes change. The difference is how quickly the right person sees it, makes the call and keeps everyone moving.

That's where you come in.

As a Transport Allocator at CHILL, you'll be at the centre of our temperature-controlled operation. You stay ahead when the day shifts, resetting schedules, redirecting drivers and keeping customers informed before they have to ask. Your job is to protect what matters: safety, temperature, service and customer trust.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Build and coordinate daily transport schedules, allocations, and delivery requirements
  • Keep drivers moving — solving problems on the road before they become missed deliveries
  • Plan and adjust routes to keep deliveries running on time
  • Be the first call for customers and warehouse teams when something changes
  • Own transport administration, reporting and documentation — accurate, on time, every time
  • Spot the process that's slowing things down and fix it

Requirements

What we need from you

  • 3-5 years' experience in transport allocation, dispatch, or logistics coordination — CoR compliance responsibilities call for a more experienced hire
  • Confident with TMS, GPS tracking, scheduling software, and MS Office
  • Strong geographical knowledge of metro and regional transport networks
  • Sharp route planning, load optimisation, and problem-solving skills — nothing falls through the cracks on your watch
  • A direct communicator who can handle drivers, customers, warehouse teams, and escalations to senior ops stakeholders without missing a beat
  • Solid understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations — this role carries real scheduling and fatigue-management duties under Heavy Vehicle National Law, not just awareness of them
  • Familiarity with BFM and HACCP requirements
  • Cold chain or temperature-controlled transport experience — an advantage, not a dealbreaker

Benefits

CHILL is Australia's coolest logistics company — literally. We keep temperature-controlled deliveries exactly as promised, for businesses that need every delivery to be right. HACCP-certified. Tech-enabled. Genuinely focused on doing this well.

  • Real autonomy — we set the standard, you own the outcome
  • Annual performance bonus tied to role KPIs and behaviours — reward for doing it properly
  • A team that backs you — good people, straight talk, and a shared standard

Salary: $75,000-$82,000 + super

Contract: Full-time permanent

Hours: 38-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, some weekends.

Location: Yatala, QLD

No square pegs, round holes. If you take ownership, solve problems before they're problems, and want logistics done properly — apply today. You'll get a job simulation typically within 24 hours (sometimes sooner) that shows you exactly what this role involves. No surprises, either way.
